Who comes to power?

The weak can rule over the weak.
The foolish can rule over the foolish.
The learned can rule over the learned.

The strong can rule over the weak.
The wise can rule over the foolish.
The learned can over the ignorant.

The weak can never rule over the strong.
The foolish can never rule over the wise.
But the clever can over the learned.

The clever will rule over the learned yet unwise.
The clever will rule over the learned yet weak.

The clever need not be wise.
The clever need not be learned.

Cleverness sits not on the throne, but behind it.
Cleverness climbs to the throne, not by principle, but by cunning.

The strong learned fool will not see the clever one as he climbs to the throne.
The strong learned fool will not see the clever one as he sits behind the throne.
The wise learned weakling will be helpless to stop the clever one as he climbs to the throne.
The wise learned weakling will be helpless to act against the clever one as he sits behind the throne.

The wise, strong and learned are those who will never be ruled by the clever and cunning.
