Once my troubles ended...

...I came to a realization!

**

There is no true refuge in this world, without power and without authority. Power means that others keep submissiveness to you, and heed your whims. To have power, is to have a standing in society. To be in society is to have a place between those above you in rank and prestige and those below you in rank and prestige. To be outside this society, to not belong into it, is to have no rank or prestige in it, to be below the lowest in rank and prestige.
In the beginning, they mock you. Then, when you are impervious of their mockery and steadfast in determination, they fear you. And then, they attack you with whatever they can.
They hate everybody, because they hate themselves. They attack everybody, because they attack themselves. They attack what God has given them, by denigrating it in words, by covering it up in a façade of something else. They make black skin white, they may kinky hair straight, they make coquettishness Islamic and devoid of charm. They are defeated, because they assist their enemies in their defeat, by charging the offense, not on the enemy, but on themselves.
God made the Jalläba a people of defeat, a people of cowardice, a people of treason, a people of submissiveness; who soon know their master; when their master is covetous of their land and Nile, he takes their country; when their master scolds them, they are silent and fearful; their master needs not break their will, as their will is broken, and they are always at the mercy of someone else’s will.
Kush, Darfur and South Sudan would sooner look to a brighter future, when the cream is removed from the fodder, when the Jalläba – save the non-conformists and the misfits – are tossed into the Nile, or banished to the Libyan Desert. They will not be missed, and Kush would be unimaginably better off without them.
